As the Fleet Manager, you will work closely with the Head of Fleet, implementing new strategies to support the expansion of this new fleet department. The fleet consists of cars, vans and HGVs, and you will be responsible for its compliance. You’ll manage a small team and help to develop their industry knowledge.

As Fleet Manager you will:

  • Act as an escalation point for all fleet-related queries.
  • Ensure the fleet of vehicles (leased and owned) is maintained and serviced.
  • Conduct regular safety checks and implement safety measures to ensure compliance with all relevant policies and regulations.
  • Liaise with suppliers regarding fleet-related issues.
  • Report on and analyse fleet performance.
  • Produce monthly fleet MI packs.
  • Lead and mentor a small team of fleet administrators.
  • Build relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Attend 1-2 off-site meetings per month.

The essentials:

  • 5+ years of experience in fleet/transport management.
  • Hold a Transport Manager Certificate of Professional Competence.
  • Possess transport health and safety legislation knowledge.
  • Have knowledge of FORS.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills.
  • Drive and ambition.
  • Full driving licence.
  • The ability to travel and stay away from home overnight when required.
